Delaware County had more candidates on the Democratic ballot in the November 2017 general election than we have ever had. These representatives worked their own precincts, got to know the Democrats who live near them and identified strengths and interests that will serve the Party.
Because of the many good candidates on Democratic Party ballots, we expect to see a significant increase in the number of registered Democratic voters. Once we have identified these “new” Democrats, we will work on identifying new volunteers to support our candidates. For every election, there will be opportunities to make phone calls, canvass neighborhoods, host fundraisers, and distribute literature. We want to increase the number of registered voters who will vote for Democrats, and also work to get these Democrats out to the polls on or before Election Day.
Central Committee representatives are an important part of identifying Democrats who live in their precinct. Sharing information with them that will motivate them to take part in progressive action within Delaware County is a great motivator to involvement. If someone else is representing your precinct on Central Committee, please reach out to that person and let them know how you can help.
